We don’t know about you guys, but here at Beacon Equipment we love perusing blogs for inspiration. Whether we’re about to undertake our next DIY backyard task or a home reno, it’s great to have so many free resources full of tips and advice at our finger tips. Being based in Perth and being a WA family owned and operated outdoor tool business, we wanted to give a shout out to some of our favourite Perth bloggers who keep us entertained and motivated around the home and garden.
We have been long-time fans of Michelle’s blog and her writing style. Over the past couple of years we have eagerly watched on as she shows us her before and after home renovation projects, joined her on the experience of her DIY-filled wedding plus her honeymoon travels and have been given tips on a few good books to read as well! The 6-year-old Jarrah Jungle blog covers a myriad of topics and Michelle really opens up her door to her readers. We feel like we know her without being uber stalker creeps!
We particularly enjoyed the posts on her renovated courtyard garden – the before and after pictures show a wicked improvement! Check out Michelle’s courtyard garden posts here.
Be warned, one look at Maya’s blog, or should we say Mrs. Nerd, and you’ll become obsessed with houses, interior/exterior design and renovations. From taking you on a tour of some of the most beautiful houses around Perth, to before and after stories and of course letting us in on her own at-home renovations of ‘The Crap Shack’ – you will be hanging out for every new post. We love how Maya lets us in her front door to get to know her and her family just that little bit better, and we have to say that she had the coolest baby gender reveal party ever!
House Nerd has a dedicated ‘The Outsiders’ section for us backyard and garden fiends. From small courtyard makeovers to how to boost your kerb appeal and tips on veggie gardens – we hope she continues to add more posts to this section in the coming months!
If you’re building a house, this is the Perth blog to read! House by the water follows a house build right from when it was an empty block to it transforming into a beautiful home. The house in question is situated in Mandurah, WA and Johanne’s blogs give you the full ins and outs of the house. From the plans, to the colour selections to the landscaping. We’re enjoying following along with all the weekend jobs that are now happening since handover and PCI in December 2015.
Despite the ‘slowgress’ as Johanne calls it, the landscaping looks to of come together beautifully and it sounds like she came across some great deals at the Perth Garden Festival. We’re looking forward to the next instalment already!
